Financial Period - Quarterly
Registered political parties and political third party advertisers are required to report contributions on a quarterly basis. Amendments to the Election Finances and Contributions Disclosure Act (EFCDA) removed the requirement for constituency associations to file quarterly reports starting in 2022. Contributions are any money, real property, goods or services provided for their benefit without returned compensation to the donor. The four reporting periods are January 1 to March 31, April 1 to June 30, July 1 to September 30, and October 1 to December 31. Each report is due within 15 days after the end of the quarter (or first business day thereafter). Contributors who have contributed over $250 in aggregate will have their names and amounts disclosed.
